Making a Meaningful Pitch

Created a custom YouGov Rubik’s Cube as a memorable presentation leave-behind, turning data into a tangible story — and winning the client’s business. When competing for a major research project, every firm had 45 minutes to present their proposal. We wanted to leave behind something more memorable than a t-shirt or pen — something that embodied both creativity and YouGov’s unique strengths.

One of YouGov’s most distinctive offerings is its depth of data, known as the YouGov Cube. In a brainstorm with the project leader, we turned that idea into a customized Rubik’s Cube, integrating sides of the puzzle with sections of our presentation.

As the client held the cube and saw how it connected with our story, their faces lit up. It wasn’t just a clever leave-behind — it showed our capability in a way that was memorable, meaningful, and true to the brand.

And yes, we won the job.

Their faces lit up as they held the cube — it was expertise presented in a compelling way.
