When Tony Award-winning Broadway star Laura Benanti launched the #SunshineSongs initiative at the start of the pandemic, it quickly became a national movement — celebrating student performers whose musicals had been canceled while also bringing joy to seniors and children’s hospitals through music. The initiative grew into six livestreamed Sunshine Songs Concerts, reaching intergenerational audiences across the country.

It is a rare gift to work with someone as talented, kind, and hard-working as Kevin. His creativity, patience, and love of music shine through in everything he does. Kevin is the heart of the Sunshine Concerts.

I saw this as an opportunity to make a meaningful impact during an unprecedented time. My contributions included:

• Designing the visual identity and concert logo used across all six events.
• Producing social media campaigns to drive awareness and participation.
• Leading a small video team, curating and editing dozens of performances into cohesive, uplifting shows.

This series blended community, technology, and creativity at a moment when connection mattered most — and I’m proud to have shaped both its look and its storytelling.
